FAILURE’S TRIUMPH

As the going down Sun
clocks a speeding gazelle,
from her eyes
life pops,
as legs finally fail.
Likewise;
grinding gears, screeching brakes
and a note of farewell
mark the box truck’s plunge,
full load and all,
over cliff into lake:
A splash-exclaimed fall!
Sink clean
all gone.
Life vanished, alike.
Strength of the frail:
Grace,
as legs finally fail.
